Barbara Haddrill from Mid-Wales, was asked to be a bridesmaid at her friends wedding in Brisbane, Austrailia. Barbara “Babs” is a biology expert at the Centre for Alternative Technology and is and climate-change activist. Not wanting to contribute more carbon to the atmosphere that she needs to, Babs decided to travel from her home in the UK by land and sea rather than fly. Check out her blog to follow her preparations and her trip.
“I can’t wait to be on my way, looking out of the window of the Trans-Siberian Railway, which traverses 3,608 miles through remarkably varied landscapes. “If I had just jumped on a Jumbo at Cardiff International I could be there in 22 hours but imagine the adventure I would be missing out on.” She added, “The CO from air travel is one of the biggest single contributors to climate change. “It’s been a challenging trip to organise but definitely worth it to know I’m not having a harmful impact on the planet.”

greetings,
I just discovered your wonderful blog (and site) via BTC Elements and if you have a few minutes I’d so love to have you submit it to our newish blog directory, delightfulblogs.com. I think the gals (and guys) who use the directory to find new blogs to read would enjoy your take on ways to live green.
best,
Lynda
