Green Clean

mr clean.jpgBetter Home and Gardens has a nice Green Cleaning article in their August 2007 issue. I’m unable to locate the magazine online, but if you have a chance to check it out it starts on page 86. It’s based around this website from an author who recommends making a lot of cleaners at home that are cheap and friendly to the environment.

One recipe the author recommends is vinegar and water to clean your hardwood flours. We’ve been using this at our house to clean our floors for years and it works great. I will definitely make sure to try out more of her recipes.

If you want to use eco friendly cleaners but don’t feel like making them yourself you can always try this company’s products.

UPDATE:  I’ve come across a few more interesting sites with recipes and information.  Click here and here for the info.
