The Solar Generator Briefcase

Comments
Solar BriefcaseGiving the modern traveler even more to carry, a company called Ramsey Electronics has released the Solar Generator Briefcase. Most likely designed by Q at MI:6 in London, this fold out solar panel cleverly disguises itself as, um, a briefcase. Just lug the surprisingly light (unless you walk around Manhattan) 10lb case with you and whenever the world needs saving, pop open the latch, point towards the sun, and woo nearby women with your eco spyness. From the article, “This incredibly handy package of power is great to run laptops, small electric hand tools, DC refrigerators, GPS systems, portable electronics, and a whole lot more! It’s also great to charge your batteries. The two powerful solar panels generate 13 watts of power. That’s 14VDC at a working current of 750mA! That’s more than the average plug-in power supply! Detachable connectors are provided for a variety of applications.” This would absolutely be perfect for anyone in the middle of nowhere, looking to power a laptop–such as a Palentologist in the Gobi desert hunting for raptor fossils or something. Dinosaurs are so cool.
