TreeHugger featured this video on making your own compost tumbler. The author was stoked, and so am I. I’ve been after one of those compost tumblers but who has $150 to waste on one? Now you don’t have to.

    If you’re going to build your own you should always make a flip style tumber like this compost tumbler. The homemade horizontal rolling ones just don’t do a good job of mixing unless you attach interior fins like what you find in clothes dryer or front-load washing machine.
