Flip and Tumble reusable bags-A product review

How many times have you been at work and remembered some things you needed to pick up from the store? It happens to me all the time.

And how often have you not had a bag handy to use instead of the evil plastic bag? This has happened to me too many times to count.

Apparently I’m too dumb to leave bags in my car all the time, but, I found something that might be a good solution to the problem. Recently I was able to get my hands on a new product to try. It’s called the Flip and Tumble. It’s a foldable bag that you can keep hidden in handy places so that you will always have a bag available when you need to make a quick stop at the store.

Here’s the deal. When it’s folded the bag is about the size of a tennis ball! A tennis ball! Can you believe that? It’s great. But when you need to you can unfold it and it will easily hold as much as a plastic bag, maybe two. Now I can keep a bag in the glove box of each car and if I need to make a quick stop it’ll be ready. Now, before you get too excited, the bag isn’t really large enough for heavy duty shopping, but for those stops you make because you’re driving by, it’s great. And even better, it’s only $15!step4.jpg

I’ve been stress testing the seams and they seem to be quite durable and even though it’s lightweight I think it will hold up pretty well. This is really a useful product.

Great review and great looking product! However, Target stores sell 2 different bags that save about the same space as well…and for a mere $.99! The smaller version (typical plastic bag size) zips up and looks like a woman’s wallet. The larger bag folds up and snaps into a small and flat square.

I reviewed and pictured them at my place, The Fun Times Guide to Living Green.

I like these groovy Flip and Tumble bags. The colors are cool, and they will make perfect gifts for everyone (male or female) on my list – anytime of year! Personally, I would never carry a bag that has a printed statement like “I’m not a plastic bag” on it.

I am Matt’s wife and I have had the opportunity to use the Filp and Tumble bag….when Matt will share it. :) Matt did not mention that the bag is NOT made of canvas. It is nylon. Reminds me of swish-swish pants. It would take about 2.2 seconds to air dry if it ever gets wet. Plus, the fact that it rolls up into something SO small is a huge benefit. They take up no room. A woman could easily fit one in her purse and you could not say this of a canvas bag. When it comes to getting what you pay for, I believe this product is definitely worth every penny!

I got the flip and tumble bag and thought they are kind of small. I think they are overpriced.
