Josho Somine – Build a Living Willow Chair

From the site: “Green Building with Josho Somine permaculture designer/artist Join us as he teaches how to build a living willow chair, and discusses his philosophies behind his work.”

Having worked with willow as a bank stabliziation plant for a long time I can attest to its rapid root development and establishment in the soil. It is just as simple as taking a cutting and sticking it in the moist ground.

Willow is a great plant with many benefits. Check out the many varities and their benefits at the Plants For a Future website by clicking on this link.

I enjoyed the video Josho. We too are making good use of the willow growing wild along the creeks and rivers in SC.

Dan Shelley has been living on 10 acres, in his handmade log cabin and building all sorts of willow furniture for 29 years.
