Iran has the second largest oil reserves in the world, but according to this article they are starting to have a few problems with their production.
According to the article Iran will not have any oil left for export by 2015 due to runaway internal consumption. And the government is in such fragile position they are straining to do anything about the consumption. At current production that would take 2.5M barrels a day out of the market.
On top of that, they are stuggling to keep production up because they aren’t investing enough capital back into their infrastructure and they can’t get foreign companies involved because the profit picture is too murky for the companies. Between the restless population and the restless America I would be a little nervous to get involved over there too.
Take these two things together and it sounds like there might be trouble brewing in Iran concerning their oil production.

I had a feeling about this.. I always figured that their nuclear projects were honestly for power.. they have better ways of controlling the planet then nuclear weapons.
